Creating a report after conducting usability testing is easily my least favorite part of UX work. I really enjoy watching the sessions, taking notes, discovering issues with a system, and coming up with solutions to address those issues. I like talking to stakeholders post-testing, and outlining the big things we found, and what went well – and what didn’t.

The usability report is quite possibly also the most important thing to whoever just paid you to conduct the testing. It sort of puts hard and fast numbers to an activity that they may not have been able to grasp in the first place – qualitative usability testing. So I guess it’s not going anywhere.
